Świnoujście

Not without reason Świnoujście is called the land of 44 isles, as it is the only town in Poland that is located on isles joined by ferries. The biggest are: Wolin, Uznam and Karsibór. From Świnoujście you may go to Germany, Denmark , Sweden and Norway.
 

As early as at the beginning of 19th century the town became famous tourist and health resort due to therapeutic brines, iodine and peat water deposits. It is a historic place - you may see there many old buildings. The town center has specific urban arrangement, the very center is based on a triangle and two marketplaces – Plac Wolności (Small Market) Plac Słowiański (Big Market).

Be attracted by this vivid, full of attractions town: starting from the promenade, through the lighthouse, fortifications, observation tower and Marine Fishery Museum! Take a picture at the Świnoujście landmark – Stawa Młyny Windmill, which is the object most often visited by tourist.

In Świnoujście it is also worth to appreciate exceptional natural environment – beautiful sandy beach at some places even up to 200 m wide and the Resort Park that is rich in Mediterranean vegetation specimens. It is a real paradise for the amateurs of nature. See it yourself!
